I read that the bass player uses a 5 string bass but i use a 4 stringer and its sounds alright
so i don't know figure it out.

                          9\(1) means play the "A" 
                          string 9th fret and slide 
                          up to the first fret 
                          gradually realeasing thus 
                          muting it near the 1st fret 

In the beguining of the song they play riff "A"7 times then there is a variation i didn't pick
